US trade gap widens to $105.6bn in August
The US trade deficit increased to $105.6 billion in August as imports rose more than exports. Imports climbed by $17.2 billion to $420.8 billion, driven by industrial supplies, crude oil, gold, and capital goods. Exports increased by $4.5 billion to $315.2 billion, supported by higher shipments of industrial supplies and capital goods.
