Danish Aerospace signs ESA contract to develop mobile astronaut countermeasure prototype
Danish Aerospace and Defence Company signed a contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop a prototype for a mobile lower body negative pressure countermeasure device. The prototype, targeting the foot-to-knee section for use during movement, will include sensors to track pressure, humidity, and temperature. Testing will integrate with existing DADC exercise equipment to assess feasibility in a mobile exercise environment under ESA’s GSTP program. The contract is expected to have no impact on current-year guidance.
