Sherritt expects to pause mining at its Moa joint venture in Cuba and place the processing plant on standby within the next week for planned maintenance. Fuel delivery resumption timing is unknown; the company expects to update 2026 guidance when supply-chain visibility improves.

Sherritt International Corporation announced it is reducing operations at its Moa, Cuba joint venture due to ongoing fuel supply constraints. The company expects to pause mining operations and place its processing plant on standby within the next week to perform planned maintenance. While the timeline for the resumption of fuel deliveries remains unknown, Sherritt stated that its Fort Saskatchewan refinery in Alberta continues to operate, with sufficient feed inventory to last until approximately mid-April. Operations at Energas S.A.

remain unaffected. The company is currently evaluating options to maintain production and preserve liquidity while seeking potential temporary funding support, and it expects to provide updated 2026 guidance once there is greater certainty regarding its supply chain.
