BD partners with US govt for $19bn medical consumables manufacturing expansion

BD has entered into a partnership with the U.S. government aimed at expanding domestic manufacturing of essential medical consumables. The planned investment totals $19 billion over several years, with $3 billion specifically allocated for U.S. manufacturing expansion. This initiative targets an output increase of approximately 5 billion consumables annually, boosting BD's domestically supplied share to around 80% and ensuring 100% of BD needles used in the U.S. are made domestically.
