Oct 6 (Reuters) — A trough of low pressure over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico has an 80% chance of developing into a cyclone within the next 48 hours, the US National Hurricane Center said in an advisory on Tuesday. The NHC said environmental conditions are only marginally favourable for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next couple of days.
