Axis Bank rises as gross advances and deposits increase
Shares of India's Axis Bank gained 1.8% to 1,244.10 rupees. The bank's gross advances as of September 30 rose 22.7% year-on-year, and total deposits grew 20.7% over the same period. Axis Bank also mobilized $10.62 billion in FCNR (B) and foreign currency deposits from non-residents under an RBI swap facility by September 30.
