Deals of the day — Mergers and acquisitions

Robinson Worldwide, Cenovus Energy; Adds: Sainsbury, Shelly Group) Oct 5 (Reuters) — The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 2000 GMT on Monday: * Medical device maker GE HealthCare said it would buy privately held Sofie Biosciences for $945 million in cash, in a move that strengthens its ability to manufacture and distribute PET imaging drugs.... * C.H. Robinson Worldwide said it would acquire smaller rival RXO for $5.8 billion, its biggest deal yet, to expand its North American truck-brokerage footprint and strengthen last-mile delivery.... * ConocoPhillips is looking at an unsolicited offer for its North Sea business, executive chair Ryan Lance told the Energy Intelligence Forum in London, but the company has not reached a decision yet.... * Danish brewer Carlsberg said it had agreed to buy PepsiCo's bottlers in Georgia and Armenia, expanding its partnership with the US group as it increases its exposure to soft drinks.... * Cenovus Energy said it would buy Athabasca Oil in a C$5.7 billion ($4 billion) cash-and-stock deal, cementing its position as one of Canada's largest oil sands producers at a time the country is aiming to.
