US index futures rise in Asia: S&P 500 futures +0.03% and Nasdaq 100 futures +0.05%. USD/JPY is up +0.09% while WTI is up +0.78%.
Asian session market picture: U.S. index futures are higher, with S&P futures up 0.03 percent, Nasdaq futures up 0.05 percent, Dow futures up 0.1 percent and Russell futures up 0.12 percent. In currencies, the dollar index rises 0.06 percent, dollar yen is up 0.09 percent, USD/CNH gains 0.04 percent and AUD/USD is also up 0.04 percent. Oil is firmer, with WTI crude at 86.43, up 0.78 percent, and Brent crude at 88.46, up 0.1 percent.
Among Asian volume leaders, Alibaba is down 3.85 percent, Xiaomi is up 0.51 percent, Meituan is down 2.28 percent, Mitsubishi UFJ is up 0.98 percent and SoftBank Group is up 1.77 percent.
