Nifty Bank Falls 1% as Axis Bank Drops 5%
Private bank stocks fell in morning trade. Axis Bank shares declined 5%, while HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank fell more than 2% and 1%, respectively.
New Delhi, Oct. 19 -- Private bank shares broadly fell in Monday morning trading, 19 October, pulling the Nifty Bank index down by 1%. Axis Bank shares slid 5%. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank shares fell more than 2% and 1%, respectively, during the session.
