Niagen Bioscience's NB4168 Gets US FDA Rare Pediatric Disease Tag for Ataxia Telangiectasia

Niagen Bioscience (NAGE) has received rare pediatric disease designation from the US Food and Drug Administration for NB4168 in treating ataxia telangiectasia, a multisystem disorder, the company said Monday. The European Medicines Agency also granted Orphan Medicinal Product Designation to NB4168 for the same indication, the company said. The regulatory designations provide incentives to support the drug's development for the rare disease, the company added.
