Humanwell Healthcare Obtains Abbreviated New Drug Application Approval from US FDA for Nintedanib

Humanwell Healthcare (SHA:600079) subsidiary Humanwell Pukang Pharmaceutical (Wuhan) received an abbreviated new drug application approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its nintedanib, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Saturday. The drug is indicated for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic fibrotic interstitial lung disease with a progressive phenotype. The approval allows the pharmaceutical company to commercially produce and market the drug in the U.S.
