Pfizer, Astellas Secure FDA Nod For Bladder Cancer Drug
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has cleared Astellas Pharma (TYO:4503) and Pfizer's bladder cancer drug combination, PADCEV and Keytruda, according to a joint release on Friday. The FDA cleared the combo for adults with severe bladder cancer to use before and after surgery. This broadens a prior November 2025 approval that limited the drug's use to cisplatin-ineligible patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
