US, Canada Agree to Open Gordie Howe Bridge by End of July

The US and Canada have agreed to open the delayed Gordie Howe International Bridge connecting Detroit with Windsor, Ontario, by the end of July, following concessions made by Canada, The agreement ends a standoff between the two countries after an earlier plan to open the bridge in June was postponed following an intervention by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who had pushed to renegotiate for a larger share of toll revenue. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
