NZD/USD Gains as New Zealand Manufacturing PMI Jumps to 59.7 in June

The New Zealand dollar gains against the US dollar on Friday, after New Zealand's BusinessNZ Performance of Manufacturing Index jumped to 59.7 in June from an upwardly revised 51.3 in May. The print came in the strongest reading since July 2021. In Friday's G10 trading, NZD rose against all other currencies, except the Japanese yen. The major event for the kiwi will be the BusinessNZ Performance of Services Index for June, due on July 13. For the USD, the major events will be the inflation data for June and testimony of Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh, due on July 14. The NZD/USD pair was trading at 0.57660, with a 0.19% gain during Friday's American trading hours at the time of writing.
