The SENSEX Index Closes 1.87% Higher

The SENSEX Index went up by 1483 points or 1.87 percent on Friday to close at 80793 points. The rise was led by ICICI Bank (4.33%), Mahindra & Mahindra (4.27%) and HDFC Bank (3.35%).
