DAX Slips for 2nd Day

Frankfurt's DAX 40 fell more than 1% to below 25,600 on Friday, extending previous session's losses, as AI concerns continued to weigh on global sentiment. The prospect of tighter US regulation of the AI sector, following the Democrats’ decisive election victory, unsettled investors, weighing on technology stocks and subsequently spreading to other sectors. On the data front, Germany’s industrial production rose 0.7% month-on-month in September 2026, beating expectations for no change but slowing from a downwardly revised 1.0% increase in August. Daimler Truck was the biggest laggard, dropping nearly 4%, followed by Deutche Post and Bayer.
