Asian markets close mixed: Nikkei 225 -1.79%, Hang Seng +5.37%, Shanghai Composite +2.27%, KOSPI -5.28%

Asian cash markets finished mixed: the Nikkei 225 closed down 1.79 percent, the Hang Seng closed up 5.37 percent, the Shanghai Composite closed up 2.27 percent and the KOSPI closed down 5.28 percent. Asian volume leaders were Xiaomi up 8.83 percent, Meituan up 6.72 percent, Alibaba up 8.35 percent, Tencent up 7.27 percent and Toyota up 16.68 percent.
