BofA Lifts Airbus Forecasts as June Aircraft Deliveries Top Expectations

BofA Global Research upwardly revised its forecasts for Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F), noting that the European aerospace company's June aircraft deliveries beat expectations. "Airbus delivered 89 aircraft in June, a significant step-up versus our expectations and sufficient to drive an upgrade to our estimates. The improvement was primarily driven by higher A320-family deliveries, with the A320/A321 mix remaining broadly unchanged," analysts said Thursday, adding that Airbus is on track to reach 2 billion euros in commercial EBIT in the second quarter. "As a result, we raise our FY26 delivery forecast back to 870 aircraft, in line with company guidance, from 860 previously. The research firm also increased its projected EPS for 2026 to 7.12 euros from 6.91 euros. For 2027 and 2028, the EPS estimates were raised to 8.10 euros and 11.49 euros, respectively, from 7.89 euros and 11.32 euros. The stock's buy rating was reiterated, with a price objective of 258 euros.
