Onward's Attributable Profit Increases 18% in Fiscal Q1

Onward's (TYO:8016) profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 18% to 5 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter from 4.3 billion yen a year earlier. The textile manufacturer's earnings per share increased to 37.07 yen from 31.44 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday. Net sales rose 5.5% to 63.5 billion yen for the three months ended May 31 from 60.2 billion yen in the prior-year period. For the fiscal year ending Feb. 28, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 11.2 billion yen, basic EPS of 82.34 yen, and net sales of 247 billion yen. Onward plans to pay a second-quarter and year-end dividend of 16 yen and 17 yen per share, respectively, for the year.
