Peabody Energy Corporation reported a net loss of $32.8 million for the third quarter of 2026, an improvement from the $70.1 million loss in the same period last year. The company achieved an Adjusted EBITDA of $97.5 million, compared to $99.5 million in the prior-year quarter. Management lowered several 2026 volume expectations, including a reduction of approximately 7.5 million tons for the Powder River Basin, and cut capital expenditure guidance by $40 million, partly due to deferred development at the Centurion mine. Additionally, the company announced plans to redeem the remaining $39.9 million of its 2028 convertible notes, electing to settle the obligation with cash to reduce share dilution.
