Ahold Delhaize Cuts 2026 EPS Growth Forecast After Cyberattacks

Ahold Delhaize expects low single-digit adjusted EPS growth at constant exchange rates, down from mid-to-high single-digit growth. Cyberattacks are expected to hurt fourth-quarter net sales and operating profit.

Ahold Delhaize reported that a series of cyberattacks, including a recent incident affecting refrigeration systems, will negatively impact its fourth-quarter financial performance. The company estimates a reduction in net sales of 200 to 250 million euros and an impact on operating profit between 75 and 100 million euros. Consequently, the group has revised its full-year guidance downward, noting that adjusted earnings per share growth is now expected to be in the low single-digit percentage range at constant exchange rates, compared to previous expectations of mid-to-high single-digit growth.

Despite these challenges, the company reported third-quarter revenue of 23.1 billion euros, a 1.9% increase year-over-year, and announced a one-billion-euro share buyback program scheduled to begin in early 2027.
