Asian cash markets finished mixed: the Nikkei 225 closed down 1.42 percent, the Hang Seng closed up 2.08 percent, the Shanghai Composite closed up 1.32 percent and the KOSPI closed up 0.62 percent. Asian volume leaders were Xiaomi up 0.42 percent, Alibaba up 0.85 percent, SoftBank Group down 3.2 percent, Mitsubishi UFJ down 0.68 percent and Tokyo Electron down 3.42 percent.
