Fitch Ratings affirmed the A long-term issuer default rating of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA.MC, BVA.L), or BBVA, citing the resilient earnings of the bank. In a Wednesday note, the rating agency also highlighted the Spanish lender's exposure to emerging markets, business profile, risk profile, asset quality, profitability, capitalization, and funding profile. The outlook on the rating is stable.
