China's Consumer Inflation Slows to 1% in June
China's annual consumer inflation decelerated to 1% in June, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Thursday. The reading was softer than the consensus forecast of 1.1% tracked by Investing.com, and compared with the 1.2% pace recorded in the previous month. On a month-over-month basis, China's headline inflation fell 0.3%, sharper than the 0.1% drop between April and May.

Chinese shares opened higher on Thursday as the pace of the country's inflation was mixed in June.
The Shanghai Composite Index, the main gauge of Chinese stocks, opened 0.2% higher to 3,977.55.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.7% to 15,038.47.
China's annual consumer inflation rose 1% year over year in June, slightly lower than analysts expectations of 1.1% and the 1.2% pace recorded in May.
Producer inflation accelerated to 4.1%, in line with the consensus forecast of 4.1% and compared with the 3.9% pace recorded the previous month.
