ADB Cuts India Growth Forecast for 2026

The Asian Development Bank trimmed its India economic growth estimate for 2026, according to its Asian ​Development Outlook update published late Wednesday. The ADB said it expects India's economy to grow 6.6% in 2026, down 0.3 percentage points from the April estimate. For 2027, the real GDP growth estimate was unchanged at 7.3%. The ADB expects inflation in India to rise to 5.2% in 2026 from 2.1% in 2025, higher than the 4.5% April projection.
