Sanofi Discontinues Nurix’s SAR448272 Program

Sanofi has decided to end the Phase 1 first-in-human trial and terminate the program. Nurix will no longer be eligible for associated future milestones or royalties, but says its cash runway guidance is unchanged.

NRIX

Nurix Therapeutics announced that its partner, Sanofi, has decided to discontinue the Phase 1 first-in-human clinical trial of SAR448272 and terminate the program entirely. As a result of this decision, Nurix will no longer be eligible for future development, regulatory, or commercial milestone payments and royalties associated with the SAR448272 program. The company clarified that it remains eligible for potential milestone payments and royalties from other licensed programs under the existing collaboration agreement with Sanofi.

Nurix management stated that the termination does not impact the company's current cash runway guidance, noting that it had $1.1 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities as of August 31, 2026, sufficient to fund operations into the second half of 2029. The company continues to advance other clinical-stage programs, including its lead BTK degrader Bexobrutideg, the CBL-B inhibitor NX-1607, and the IRAK4 degrader GS-6791/NX-0479.
