DAX Trims Losses
Frankfurt's DAX 40 pared early losses to trade slightly down around 25,900 on Tuesday, taking confort from the pullback in oil prices and the tech rebound ahead of US midterm elections. Oil reversed earlier gains after US President Trump stated that Washington plans to halt its annual $4 billion military aid to Israel by the end of the year, at the initiative of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Meanwhile, US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said overnight strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island had not disrupted regional oil supplies. Fresenius Medical Care led losses, falling around 5%, as the dialysis provider reported third-quarter results that exceeded analysts' expectations, but lowered its outlook for the full year, citing regulatory and inflationary pressures.
