Fresenius Medical Care reported third quarter 2026 revenue of €4.94 billion, a 1% increase year-over-year. Net income attributable to shareholders fell 42% to €160 million, while operating income decreased 19% to €384 million, largely impacted by €108 million in one-time costs related to a refined China strategy. The company narrowed its full-year 2026 operating income guidance to a range between flat and a negative mid-single digit percent growth rate, compared to its previous expectation of a range between positive and negative mid-single digit growth.
Management attributed the performance to regulatory and inflation headwinds, while noting that earnings per share remained stable due to the company's share buyback program.
