Ukraine Reportedly Hit Russian Refineries, Tankers in Overnight Raids

Ukrainian drones struck three Russian oil refineries, pipeline pumping stations, Russian tankers in the Sea of Azov, and a military airbase in overnight attacks stretching from areas near the Ukrainian border to Russia's Ural region, multiple media outlets reported on Wednesday. The strikes are reportedly part of Ukraine's expanding long-range drone campaign against Russia's oil refining and energy infrastructure, with attacks reaching deeper into Russian territory. Kyiv also hit Russia's largest oil refinery in Omsk on Monday, about 2,700 kilometers (1,700 miles) from Ukrainian-held territory. Drones struck the TANECO and TAIF-NK refineries in Tatarstan, the Saratov oil refinery, the Borisoglebsk military airbase in Voronezh region, and a petroleum products pumping station in Bashkortostan. Russia's Defense Ministry shot down 415 Ukrainian drones overnight. According to media reports, Ukraine also struck between six and nine oil tankers in the Sea of Azov, a key supply route for Russian forces in Crimea and occupied southern Ukraine. However, Rostov Governor Yury Slyusar reportedly said only two empty tankers were hit.
