Gamma Communications, Epiris Get Extension for Merger Talks

Gamma Communications (GAMA.L) requested and was approved by the UK's Panel on Takeovers and Mergers to extend the deadline for merger talks with Epiris. The put-up-or-shut-up deadline was extended to Aug. 5, as discussions continue, according to a Wednesday release. The communication services company said there is no certainty that an offer will be made. Epiris, which had formed a consortium with Providence Equity Partners before withdrawing from it, was earlier granted a joint extension of the deadline.
