Story updates
Deutsche Lufthansa AG reported third-quarter 2026 results showing an adjusted EBIT of 1.41 billion euros, a 6% increase over the previous year that exceeded analyst expectations of 1.37 billion euros. Revenue for the quarter rose 9% to 12.24 billion euros, while net profit grew 30% to 1.26 billion euros, driven by strong demand in the cargo and maintenance divisions alongside cost discipline. Despite the quarterly performance, the company lowered its full-year 2026 adjusted EBIT guidance to a range of 1.7 to 2.0 billion euros, down from a previous upper bound of 2.2 billion euros.
CFO Till Streichert attributed the revision to higher fuel costs and the advanced stage of the fiscal year. The company stated it remains confident in achieving this revised range in line with market expectations.
