Analyst Says PBOC Move May Slow Yuan Appreciation, Not Reverse It

Standard Chartered's Becky Liu says China's higher foreign-exchange reserve requirement ratio is aimed at slowing, not reversing, the yuan's appreciation. She says the measure will not be sufficient to alter fundamental flows.
