Lockheed Martin is expanding its manufacturing operations in Camden, Arkansas, to meet the continued demand for missile defense systems such as the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptors. The expansion follows a January groundbreaking for a Munitions Acceleration Center, which aims to increase annual THAAD interceptor production from 96 to 400 units. The new facility will integrate advanced robotics and digital manufacturing technologies to support the production of seven major U.S. military weapons programs.

The Camden site currently employs approximately 1,100 workers across a 2.2-million-square-foot complex.
