Taiwan's Market Regulator OKs Bank SinoPac Unit-King's Town Bank Merger
Sinopac Financial (TPE:2890) said Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission Banking Bureau has approved the merger of its unit, Bank SinoPac, with King's Town Bank (TPE:2809), according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing. The merger record date will be determined jointly by the chairpersons of Bank SinoPac and King's Town Bank and announced at a later date. As a result, Bank SinoPac will be the surviving entity, and King's Town Bank will be dissolved.
