Principal Financial to acquire Beam Benefits, terms not disclosed

Principal Financial announced an agreement to acquire Beam Benefits, an employee benefits company serving over 25,000 small businesses. Principal Financial Group (PFG) said Tuesday it has agreed to buy employee benefits company Beam Benefits. The financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the latter half of this year, the company said. Principal Financial said capital deployment and earnings per share growth goals are unchanged for this year.
