RTX's Raytheon Expands Stinger Missile Manufacturing With European Partners
RTX's (RTX) Raytheon unit said Tuesday it is working with European suppliers to double production of Stinger missiles. The company said Diehl Defence, a German weapons manufacturer, will manufacture the missile's guidance section, while suppliers in the Netherlands will produce additional assemblies. The final missiles will be assembled and tested in the Netherlands, the company said. Raytheon said the expanded European manufacturing capacity is expected to support future work with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency to meet demand from European customers.
