Rheinmetall, Lockheed Martin Sign MoU for Joint Production of Guided Missiles in Germany

Rheinmetall (RHM.F) and US-based defense and aerospace manufacturer Lockheed Martin signed a memorandum of understanding to co-produce long-range, guided missiles in Germany. The Germany-based arms and automotive manufacturer said Tuesday that Lockheed Martin's ATACMS weapon system will be produced at its facility in Unterluess, the guided missiles' first production facility outside the US. The companies plan to eventually create a joint venture that would establish Europe's first center for producing, integrating, and distributing ATACMS missiles to NATO and allied European forces.
