BluEnergies Says Liberia's Harper Basin Exploration Progressing as Planned
BluEnergies (BLU.V) said the work program on three blocks in the Harper Basin off Liberia is progressing as planned. The work program, being conducted with TotalEnergies (TTE), is designed to confirm drillable prospects within the blocks, a statement said. A company has been engaged to reprocess the 6,167 square kilometers of 3-D seismic data. The process is more than 50% complete, with preliminary results to date. A sea bottom survey is also ongoing, with expected completion in the third quarter. Sergio Laura, who heads BluEnergies' exploration activities, said "recent, hectic activity by major oil companies in securing licenses for deepwater acreage along the entire Africa west margin is confirmation that the early move by BluEnergies in the Harper basin (2023) was a valid one."
