Técnicas Reunidas Bags CA$917 Million Contract for Canadian Power Project
A consortium formed by Técnicas Reunidas (TRE.MC) subsidiary TR Power and Aecon Group secured a contract for the Greenlight Electricity Centre project in Alberta, Canada, according to a Monday release. The contract was awarded by Greenlight Electricity Centre, which is a collaboration between Pembina Pipeline Corp., Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, and Kineticor Asset Management. Técnicas Reunidas' part of the contract is valued at CA$917 million and covers engineering and procurement of the balance of plant, among others. Meanwhile, Aecon will carry out construction activities for the project. The facility, which will supply electricity to a major data center, is expected to start operations in the second half of 2030.
