Leonardo SpA Said to Boost Stake in Italy's PSN
Leonardo SpA (LDO.MI) will raise its stake in Italy's Polo Strategico Nazionale, or PSN, to 35% by acquiring an additional 10% from state-owned IT company Sogei, The sources reportedly said the transaction, which could be announced by the end of July, forms part of a wider restructuring of PSN's shareholder structure to consolidate control under two shareholders with clear industrial rationale. PSN, the cloud infrastructure serving Italy's public administration bodies, is also owned by Gruppo TIM and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti via CDP Equity. Poste Italiane (PST.MI) reportedly plans to acquire a 20% stake in PSN from CDP and has separately launched a takeover offer for TIM, potentially giving the postal company another 45% stake. Leonardo did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
