European Stocks Head for Lower Open

European equity markets were poised to open lower on Friday as disappointing corporate earnings triggered another wave of global selling in technology and artificial intelligence stocks, prompting investors to shift toward safe-haven assets. In after-hours trading, Amazon shares plunged around 7% after revealing a significant increase in capital expenditures, while Intel tumbled 23% following a weaker-than-expected quarterly outlook and signs of slowing demand in the PC market. On the economic front, investors will focus on preliminary GDP and inflation reports from the Eurozone, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, alongside labor market figures from Germany and France. Meanwhile, the corporate earnings calendar includes major companies such as AstraZeneca, Intesa Sanpaolo, BP, Sanofi and NatWest, among others. In premarket trading, Euro Stoxx 50 futures fell 0.4%, while Stoxx 600 futures declined 0.2%.
