Uber Reportedly Cancels Planned Expansion to Five of Seven European Nations in FY26

Uber Technologies (UT8.F, UBER.VI) slashed plans to expand its food delivery business to Austria, Norway, Greece, the Czech Republic, and Romania in 2026, London's Financial Times reported Sunday, citing people familiar with the matter. The US-based ride-hailing company launched in Finland and Denmark as part of its expansion strategy laid out five months ago. Uber also continues to pursue Delivery Hero (DHER.F) even after the German rival turned down its 10 billion-euro takeover offer in May. Uber did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
