UK volume leaders were Lloyds Banking Group down 5.04 percent, HSBC down 0.31 percent, Barclays up 0.75 percent, BP up 0.71 percent and Shell up 2.06 percent. continental European volume leaders were UBS up 2.88 percent, Deutsche Telekom up 1.91 percent, Novartis up 2.38 percent, Nestle unchanged at 0 percent and SAP down 1.09 percent.
