Southern Cable Unit Signs MYR404 Million Extension Deal With Tenaga Nasional

Southern Cable Group (KLSE:SCGBHD) unit Southern Cable secured a one-year optional contract extension worth 403.6 million ringgit from Tenaga Nasional (KLSE:TENAGA) to continue supplying underground cables and conductors for the utility's Distribution Network Division, according to a Thursday Taiwan Exchange filing. The extension supplements the original contract awarded earlier and will run from Aug. 12, 2026 to Aug. 11, 2027, unless terminated earlier under the contract terms. Southern Cable said all other contract terms remain unchanged.
