Volkswagen announced its third-quarter and nine-month results, revealing a widening attributable loss and declining revenue. The company reaffirmed its full-year guidance, which was previously cut in September due to approximately 10 billion euros in impairment charges related to its Porsche stake, challenging market conditions in China, and restructuring costs. Management, including CFO Arno Antlitz, stressed the necessity of swift and consistent implementation of cost-cutting measures, which include a previously approved plan to significantly reduce the workforce and halve the company's model portfolio. The automaker continues to face intense pressure from U.S.

tariffs, increased competition from Chinese rivals, and a difficult trading environment in China, where it expects profits to hover around the break-even point for the year.
