Glencore copper production rises 2% in third quarter

Glencore reported that its copper production rose 2% from the second quarter to 201,600 metric tons, with year-to-date output reaching 598,600 tons. While copper production increased, gold and silver output declined by 6% and 10%, respectively, compared to the previous quarter. Conversely, steelmaking and energy coal production saw growth of 14% and 8%. For the full year, the company expects copper production to land at the lower end of its 810,000-870,000 ton guidance range, while steelmaking coal is also anticipated to be toward the lower end of its 30-32 million ton range. Additionally, Glencore stated it expects its 2026 marketing-adjusted earnings before interest and taxes to exceed $5 billion.
