Encompass Health Corporation reported net operating revenue of $1.61 billion for the third quarter of 2026, surpassing the FactSet consensus estimate of $1.60 billion. The company achieved an adjusted earnings per share of $1.52, which outperformed the estimated $1.36. Driven by these results, management increased its full-year 2026 guidance, now projecting revenue in the range of $6.45 billion to $6.50 billion and adjusted earnings per share between $6.23 and $6.37.
CEO Mark Tarr attributed the performance to a disciplined operating strategy and a commitment to meeting the growing demand for inpatient rehabilitation services, noting that the company added 189 beds through new hospital openings and 85 beds to existing facilities during the first nine months of the year.
