Taiwan stocks rebound more than 2% in afternoon trading

Taiwan’s stock market surged more than 2% at one point Wednesday afternoon, as easing AI concerns and a multi-day rebound in the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index supported gains alongside Japanese and South Korean shares.
