The FTSE 100 Index Closes 0.73% Lower

The FTSE 100 Index dropped 79 points or 0.73 percent on Tuesday to close at 10689 points. Losses were led by HSBC Holdings (-5.91%), Reckitt Benckiser (-4.91%) and Pearson (-3.35%). Offsetting the fall, top gainers were Antofagasta (4.60%), Barratt Redrow (3.43%) and Endeavour (2.61%).
