UK volume leaders were Lloyds Banking Group down 0.34 percent, Barclays up 0.79 percent, BP down 2.87 percent, HSBC down 5.42 percent and Shell down 1.8 percent. continental European volume leaders were Deutsche Telekom up 0.64 percent, Novartis up 1.02 percent, UBS up 0.67 percent, Nestle down 0.57 percent and SAP up 0.42 percent.
